Default Oxygen Sensor Burn Out

While driving the other day , My 89 sse suddenly started jumping, feeling like the transmission was going , when i stopped at a light the car stalled and was not idling steady at all around 300-400 rpm ..i thought it was a vacuum hose that disconnected, but it wasnt that. the check engine light comes on now and then while i drive at 1 min intervals..I was told this was the oxygen sensor..Has anyone had the same problem with there car??

Read this & see if this is your problem?

I know you don't have a new IAC yet, but has yours been fiddled with lately? Cleaned? Adjusted? If so then you may have to re-adjust it back to normal. Also, if you haven't cleaned your TB lately, it may be gummed up with carbon & the pintle on the IAC is stuck. An O2 sensor will only cause you to either burn less/more gasoline when it burns out.

Default Parts

When you find the problem and if it is mechanical i have an extra complete throttle body for sale cheaper than any part store.

I wasn't so lucky when I cleaned mine. Luckily I got me a used MAF for 50 bucks, but definately remove before cleaning.
