Oil Pressure Gauge
I just dropped a used engine into my poor bonneville. My oil pressure is not reading right it reads full preassure :?: The engine i put in was from a 1989 Oldsmobile 98' are the sensors different? Anyone ever heard of this happening.

My radio is also locked out and i have to use my mute button on my steering wheel controls to unlock it but the controls dont work anyone know of a way to bypass this problem?

I fixed the stereo problem but still the oil pressure is reading all way full. I guess ill try swithing out the sensor with my old one and see what happens.

It might be the sensor, then again it may be the wiring in the cluster. My gage read somwhat high when the weather is cold but never full pressure.

Electronics and gages are such a PITA when cars age :?

Gotta be the sensor
I dont believe its the wiring cluster because i used the one from my old engine and it worked fine before changing engines. I'm gonna try changing the sensor hope that gets it working.

next problem
Now that ive complety rebuilt the passenger side of Bonneville i can get back to solving this problem i guess ill try trading the sensors.
