Newer 4dr seat in a 2dr ?
Iv'e already put 90 Bonneville seats in my 90 Eighty Eight coupe. The frames are the same but the 4dr frames lack the pivot brackets. The brackets unbolt and swap between frames. The frames with the power recline of course do not interchange. I'd like to upgrade to the 92 up style which i know fit but do the frames have the abillty to interchange brackets or are they a new style ? I notice the 91 Bonneville had a better seat back that hugs you better. The Bonne SSE had the 92up style seats in them already but were only buckets and not 60/40 split. 91-92 seats look to be the same and changed 93up. The 91-92 seats are harder to find , especially in blue !

These are the 60/40 seats i got from the Bonneville SE/LE. https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1326892569
The red seats are 91/92 Bonneville and the grey buckets are 93up Bonne. They hold you in better and are even more comfortable than what i have now. Although i have never sat in the 91 style seats they seem to fit the style of my car better and the head rests are smaller than the newer ones. I would think the 91/92 seats are capable of swapping the seat brackets too if not at least re-skining the seats as i've done before. https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1326892569 https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1326892569 The older thrown pillow look seats , which i really like are too difficult to find in good condition. https://www.gmforum.com/attachment.p...ine=1326892569 |
