I have the same problem, or so at least I think. After I cleaned my IAC and took the car for a test drive, my SES light came on. Error code 41 keeps popping up. Now it'* possible that it'* not the CAM Sensor itself, but it may be the magnet around the sensor. This is possibly my problem because my light came on after I red lined my car for the second time during the test drive.

Padgett has a guide here, that may help you at least fix the magnet portion...

But a few of the other members will give you some better advice.

It'* not that big of a deal to change it. I had mine done cause I have no time and I also asked the shop to have a peak at my gears and timing chain while they were at it since it is all there. You have to remove the timing chain cover to access the magnet. You may be lucky and can change the sensor without removing the cover, but my magnet was toast so I didn't have a choice.

hardest part of the job? getting the friggin harmonic balancer off. dumbest part? forgetting that the water pump pully must be put on <not necessarily tightened> the pump before the pump goes back on.

with that said...

go get'm tiger!

IMO, the biggest problem with being in there, is if I were to take the time to do all of that, I would replace the Cam Sensor, Interrupter [I guess.. right?], Timing Chain, Harmonic Balancer, and Crank Sensor. If I delve into something, I may as well make the most out of my time, should I not?

Hey guys

thanks for the info, really amazing I will try to just fix the sensor for now. screw doing the rest, when it breaks ill fix the rest. But for now i just want to fix the sensor problem.
But the only part I dont understand is that interrupter part. in that manual u guys posted it shows on the very first part the sensor taken off, but there is nothing behind it. its blank but on the next page it shows the dirty interrupter. Do I need to line it up with the hole? how do I go upon doing that?

Btw guys, I just hope that this IS the problem... ill give you a little bit info besides the code that i got from the computer. The car acts like it has no balls. I cant floor it, it just shudders and dosent do anything, I have to be gentle with the gas pedal.. and I mean gentle or the car just shutters. As well when I used to start the car I could just drive off. Now its like I start it..and if I go drive off.. feels like it wants to stall. its also part of this situation.

Anywas this intruppter dosetn sound hard to do.. ill probley be able to do it. I just need the part and figure out how to get the thing to line up with the hole .

Thanks guys really
