lumbar adjuster button sticky

I have the seat controls in my center counsol. The lumbar support and the seat switcher buttons are sticky from pop getting spilled on them. It there someting that i can spray on it or some way to get them unstuck with out messing them up?

I had the same problem, what you must do is get a knife and pry it under the button to remove it, but be careful, if you break the plastic studs on eitherside, the button will not be mounted properly and will fall out when vacuming, or using the button. Then on the sides clean off any excess 'crap' with some simple green and paper towel. Snap it back on, and bam! your done, no more sticky buttons.

I completely dissasembled the electronics from the plastics and soaked them in a soapy solution for a while. There are small tabs on the bottom cover that insert into grooves in the plastic housing. These tabs were carefully pried apart with a small screwdriver and the electronics were removed. What is left is all 9 of the buttons and 4 light guides fastened with one screw each. I removed the light guides but discovered that I didn't need to. This marinated in the soap solution for about 30 minutes as I was cleaning the rest of the console parts (the entire console was removed from the car). After thoroughly rinsing and drying the plastics, the electronics were reunited and the assembly was reinstalled.

I had about 4 switched that either wouldn't move or got stuck and the whole thing looked like hell. That's why I went through all of this. Also, I found that the buttons are not easily removed.
