Hello. This is my first time on this board. I have a '90 SSE that refuses to fire. Let me give you a history of whats been going on. I'm kinda stumped...

I just replaced the battery terminals, the lower intake gaskets(thought i'd do somthing nice for the car), and put up some new plastic conduit for the engine wiring since most of it was crisp. prior to this the car ran fine, granted it always needed a jump every now and then due to the corroded battery terminals. Also upgraded the car with a CS-144 140 amp alternator. I drive the car for 40 miles with some stop and go. Runs better than ever. I get to my destination, shut the car down. When I go to restart, it won't. It'll crank but no fire. I pulled a wire and had a friend of mine crank for me, no spark. Well The car got towed home. I start poking around, I finda broken crank sensor. Literally the front tooth is shattered. I also see a tooth on the damper that was bent out ward. I gues somthing got caught up in there. Anyways I replace the sensor and the engine still doesn't fire. My only other guess is that I got a defective sensor... What I do know is the ECM is powing up, I can read data from it and I get 42 psi at the fuel rail. My GM manual doesn't seem to be helping me much. wondering if there is anyone who could shed some light...

I learned the hard way that there can be NO contact between the sensor walls and the teeth on the balancer, if they contact even slightly, no fire. Its a tight gap and for me, trial and error. I used feeler gauges to make sure the gap was equal everywhere.

I also forgot to say good ole' pink and black wire has power to the IGN module. I'm pretty sure I spaced the new sensor pretty good. No tach signal to the dash.
