New Exhaust
Just had my new exhuast installed this morning.
I had a hard time believing that my 89 has 12 feet of exhaust pipe!!! The exhaust pipe is welded stainless steel. Mandrel was out of the question, can't afford that.
I had them install a MagnaFlow performance muffler with a Denali tip.
I think its pretty cool, sounds great! Kinda throaty, turns heads
Maybe I'll post some pics of the exhaust tip soon.

Replacing your CAT is probably a good idea, seems the early years the beads inside break down/melt and restrict airflow.
I replaced mine and there was a big difference! that and a dynomax....there was increased power noticed right away as well as a much better performance sound

Ya, I had that done about about 3 months ago. I was driving to the Square One in Mississauga to get a start on my xmas shopping when my catalytic conveter broke free of the exhaust pipe.
I took it to a local performance exhaust shop and they replaced it with a high performance stainless steel converter. That was where we noticed the fact that my exhaust pipe was looking pretty rusty and shabby. Well, on Sunday it finally cracked. I took it back to the same place and the guys at Zoro were eager to finish the rest of the system.
Now from the exhaust manifold through to the tip...its all welded stainless steel. Even the hangers are spot welded stainless hangers. The tip is pretty cool. If you have seen the Yukon Denalis you'll know what I'm talkin about. The 75mm (2-1/2") pipe is housed within a ellipse shape stainless steel tip. It looks pretty cool. The guys there wanted to cut out another space in the fibreglass trim under the bumper in order to have dual tips. I could have gotten the MagnaFlow that has dual output (one on either side), I decided against it. One $130 CDN tip was enough. It fits nicely tho. Once the weather improves a bit I will post some more pictures.
Basically my mods are done, just waiting for that kick *** tax return to get the body work and painting done...oh baby she'll be ready!!!
A few more mechanical issues to tie up and I'll be done with my Bonne. I can just enjoy it.
