Just experienced my neighbour'* LG3 in the '87 LE he just got for $500. It has 103,000km, or about 60,000 miles, that'* like, nothing. Rust is a problem, but it'* surface rust, no biggie.

Thing is, damn, this "High Output" 60 degree V6 is responsive. It can break traction and chirp the tires, something my LN3 has trouble doing, but then again, it'* got 300,000km and 215 60/16'* instead of 205 75/14'*.

That LG3 in park... and when you rev it, the revs come up RIGHT AWAY and really quickly... compared to revving my '91 LN3, which is a lot slower.

Dang.

In my 89 SSE I can break them loose all day long-and I have 22560/16'* on them.
Revs awesome--and the power is great too! I just hit 140,000 on it the other day(don't know the km on that).
don't we have the same type of motor? :?:

My brother has an 87 Delta 88 with that motor and it can spin the tires all day long as well. My 89 doesn't hardly even chirp them. Both cars have over 200K on them also. Probably the difference is in the gearing. My 89 has 2.84 gearing and the 87 Delta has 3.06 gearing. That'* why one will spin and the other won't.

Maybe 3.03:1 on the SSE, tell you what, send your RPO codes to Jr and he will be able to determine what your transaxle ratio is

Yea its a code on your options tag. My 86 3.0 has the 3.06'*. Seems like the LN3-C should walk away from the LG3-3 ? I think torque was nearly the same just 15 more ponys. Maybe somethings not up on your LN3-C. Gearing is nearly everything. BTW all Buick V6'* are 90* , no 60*. 60* is Chevy 2.8/3.1/3100/3400 DOHC and whatever else has come from that family. Nothing wrong with 60*'* though, Ferrari always used 60* since the 50'*, with OHC or DOHC even, with hemisperical combustion chambers no less and everyone things Mopar was king of the Hemi. Dont see no Mopar running GP do ya. I like Mopars BTW - not bashing.
