Default Large golden car, large golden problems

Hey all been a while, Cause the beast has been doing fine.

A few strange problems,
I know my rad needs to be replaced thats an easy one to spot.
But here are my next ones
My wipers when I turn them to off they wipe 15 times extra until they shut off or they just keep going sometimes takes them 5 min. to shut off sometimes (any ideas?)

Another problem is an electrical one (as cdn tire told me) suppositly one of my fuel injectors arent firing (fuel injector 3) the car will run smooth sometimes but soemtimes Ill loose so much power and the car will shake like a mad man.. or will idle rough but sometimes it will kick in normally agian, so thats that problem, does/has it happend to you?

now I got another problem, starting... getting hard to start that beast up, I put new plugs and wires ... but nothing.

any ideas!?

With the wipers - there should be an "off" signal getting over to the wiper motor. What you need to do is check for the "off" signal (it will be 12V+) at the wiper motor when it happens. On your car I'm pretty sure it'* the green wire.

The injector problem could be the PCM Quad Driver, a wire, or an injector. Get a stethescope. Can you hear #3 ticking? Now swap #3 and #5. Did the non-ticking fuel injector move, or stay in the same spot?

The injector could be your hard starting problem, or a FPR or pump. Change the fuel filter first.

I would have to agree with what Will was saying. If you do have a bad injector it can give you problems on startup.

Hey another one from Ontario, cool. Where about in Ont do you live?

There should be a wiring harness attached to the wiper motor that you can unplug.

You must have missed the TSB about the second thermostat gasket that goes on top of the thermostat (you also need the O-ring). Was specific for cars that do not reach the proper coolant temp.

Now if it gets past 140F and you have no heat then you have another problem.

Well how do you know it is working corectly. I had one go on me but got stuck closed. Then a couple weeks or months later ( short period of time) it went again.

I had the stat on my truck go and it stayed stuck open so my engine would never heat up enough and got very little heat. So if your temp gauge is not going up much then it could very well be the stat.

If you suspect the thermostat or the gaskets, open it up and replace all of them.
