casette/radio and cd/radio compatible?
Ok, here is my plan: in my 89 SE Bonnie I want to replace the original casette/radio system with the original cd/radio. I have these controls for the stereo on my steering wheel and they all work fine.
My question is: if I replace the cassette unit with the cd one, will the steering wheel controls still work? Can I just swap them or will I run into a pile of problems?

If you find a CD player from that group of years (87-91) then it is plug and play. They are rather rare and that is reflected in the price. I currently have a CD player originally from my 93 in my 90. I had to disconnect the wheel controls from the radio as this disrupted all of the wheel functions. I haven't had time to dig into the manuals to see if I can make it work.

Do you have any idea what would be a reasonable price?

Usually they are over $100 but I searched the completed auctions and found one that was a great price. This is not typical of the price but shows that you can get one for a good deal... if you can find one.
