ok.. sometime ago.. my compass and my d.i.c stopped illuminating.. they both still worked. you could hear the d.i.c. but it wouldn't show anything.. i tried putting in another one and it still wouldn't work. i read on here to clean the contacts. i tried that the other day.. the compass is now working.. but the d.i.c. still doesn't show anything. does anybody have any other suggestions or can be more specific if there is another set of contacts that need to be cleaned or???
thank you all in advance

Which contacts did you clean? What exactly did you do when you tried putting in another one?

OK, the replacement cluster did the same thing. Is there a second plug with contacts that you could clean?

Next time you have it out, you could try something like this:
