Only helpful advice I can offer is, our cars of this vintage are starting to age. Start with cleaning the battery cable connections. Loose/corroded connections are starting to become common. Maybe a gearhead will chime in with something more. Good Luck! :D

we just finished swaping in a new motor,i went with a cold air intake, and havent hooked up the sensor that go's to it(waiting on it to arrive) or the vac line, would that cus the lean condition?

Vacuum leaks are the #1 cause of lean.

And what sensor? What vacuum line?

cutty 05-06-2007 12:59 PM

the 1's on the air inlet, before the throttle body, not sure where the hose went to,

found out its the senor that gos to the air box, what id like to know, would that cause the lean condition

1. You know it isn't running correctly, if it's throwing codes, something's wrong
2. You know there is at least one sensor and at least one vacuum line disconnected
3. Hook it all up correctly and then see what you've got
4. Take pictures of problem areas and post them so we can tell what you're talking about

got everything thing fixed, reset the computer, went for a drive, and recheck codes, and only thing that come up is code 44,which i know means system lean, thought it might have been the fuel pump, but got that changed yesterday, any ideas
