Default Is this the DIC Module?? (w/pics)

Ok, been trying to find the darn DIC module and after ripping apart my dash I found this under the drivers side above the ECM. It shows a part number of 25110881, but can't find anything on the net so I don't know. If anyone else has seen/pulled one, could you let me know?

Default module

the ECM is on the Pass side below the glove box. if the module is near the ECM you pulled that part from the wrong side.

Looking the parts up in RockAuto.com shows your part number as the "cruise control module".

hmm, confused now. lol

Well now that I know what that is, I'm confused on what the other part was I saw. I was sure it was the ECM module as it was a big sliver box (the bottom was silver) with lots of wires going into it. I also looked beind the glove box when I had the dash removed and there was nothing back there at all that I could see. If the ECM and DIC control modules are on the pass. side, are they hidden by any plastic covers?

Well that should be fun. How about some pics showing all the screw locations?

If I remember correctly, Opensourceguy posted a pic of his 89 showing the screw locations. Try a search for "dash" and include the author.

I can look in my service manual to see if there is a legable diagram. I'll have to PM it to you though.

All of the screw locations man? Damn that'* a lot. I'll give you a hint... it'* not fun.

I don't have any pics of when I pulled my dash [doh!], but i can tell you it'll take you a couple days to just find all the bolts, and you'll scratch the hell out of your hands trying to get to them. There are three or four metal brackets that the dash mounts to, and the bolts are BEHIND the dash... so you have to get all the other bolts out, pull the dash out enough to get your hands in there, and get behind there and pull them out.

You sure you have to pull the dash to get to it? I think it'* possible to just remove the glovebox and then go from there? maybe ECU first, not sure..
