Default Cool Blue and CV Boots update

Hey Folks

Just got those Sylvania cool blues installed on my Bonnie, what a difference!! Can't wait to drive home tonight and see what kind of impact it makes. Based on what I could tell, it was like holding a spotlight beside a candle

An update on my CV boots. I now have a new right drive shaft. Decided that it was a better deal to replace the entire shaft then just the constant velocity boot. They installed my coolant temp. sensor, that blew out the last time I had mechanical problems. I'm glad it works now.

We took a look at the fuel lines and boy-howdy, they are rusty, guess I can't go jumping curbs for a while

They told me that the lines would cost $300 dollars and about 2-1/2 hrs of labour, but they would throw in the undercoat protection for free

Wait til you see the Silver Stars. I saw a bigger change going from Cool Blues to them than I did from stock to Cool Blues.

You know what worries me Will? The cops around here make a big fuss about those super whites.

We were discussing that at the shop. It seems that ricers do a lot of customized light work. Gives the rest of us honest folks a bad name. Some people have been pulled over for having these light. The benefit for me though, is that I have a very "unassuming" car. Its not all riced out, so, I might get away with it. God damn riceroni

I considered the Silver Stars, however, I ended up with the Cool blues. We'll see how it goes for now. Anything will be an improvement from what I had

Inside the package of each Cool Blue or Silver Star there is a little blue sheet of paper, assuring the friendly law enforcement professional that your lights meet NHTSA standards. Carry it in the car with you. No problem. You won't get pulled over, anyway.

I noticed the blue sheet but didn't consider what it was, I thought maybe installation instructions or something. Had I done it myself, then I'd have known.

I don't have the blue sheet, I do have the purchase receipt though.

I have to agree with you though. The police won't make a big deal of it. They worry more about the folks who put lights on their wipers. Headlamps and fogs are so common now. It a suprise to see how many manufacturers and their divisions now going with Xenon discharge lamps. Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Acura, Lincoln and high end GM vehicles. I wonder if the new GXP will have them?

BTW on the Bonneville GXP note, think it will stack up well against the Mercury Marauder :?:
