Default homemade intake

You see that new intake from Domestic Performance, but have you seen the price tag that goes along with it? well I can't really afford to spend that kinda money, on something just like that. So could I make my own out of some tubing and a k&n filter on the top? or is there something I could do to the stock intake to function with less restriction?

I plan on making a home-made intake. Got another accordian pipe from the junkyard, and I plan to make an elbow. Cut the other pipe down to size (the second pipe, not your original!), and put the cone filter (that I already have, but not using) on it. Voila
