any olds 88, olds 98, park ave, lesabre, or bonneville. As long as it has a 3800 in it, it will work. There are differences with gear reductions and whatnot, but all of them will bolt right up and start the motor great. I've got a 95 S2 starter on mine... works fine.

Mmmm I also think you might want to keep your eyes open for a gear reduced one. Isn't that what Don has on his?

It is, but it really doesn't make a difference, they will all start the car.

True, however if he'* going to spend X dollars on a starter...why not get a better one that will start the car easier than the regular.

Thats true what Bill said. If you going to pay the wrecker why not get the biggest bang for the buck and get a gear reduction starter.

A starter from an SSEi. They're all gear-reduced. Go as new as possible up to 1999.

It'* a direct swap into your car that you won't regret.
