Default Heater core replacement

My 89SSE needs a heater core-yippie looks like fun!
Can I get to it from the firewall or do I have to go through the inside? I was checking it out & it looks like I might be able to get at it from the engine bay.

Hey, it wasnt too hard. Took about 3 hours, the hardest part was reaching the hose clamps on the core itself, had to yank the wiring harness out for that! Looks a little intimidating, but not really once ya get in there.

I'm "Technologically Challenged" in the photography department, only got a old regular camera :( so pics would have been horrible. Funny, I was thinking that as I was working on it! I can tell ya the hardest part is just physically reaching the hoses/clamps on the core. I had to unplug the computer harness from inside the car & bring it out into the engine bay to get enough room just to reach them(the harness runs into the car above where the heater hoses hook to the core). The AC is in the way, but you can work around it. Inside, I pulled the computer out to gain a little more room inside. All the electronics that control the heater are attached to the housing, that had to be removed also. There are only 2 scews to take off the housing, then a cover slips out & you have access to the core.
Barely got dirty :o
