1990 Bonneville SSE Just Got it!
 

hi i just bought my first car2 months ago, and its a bonneville SSE. I paid $500. its black with grey leather. its been in my garage since i bought it.... lol, no seats. i am having the the seats redone with new leather. black center with grey sides. the car is really beat up for only having 88k miles on it. i have a few questions for all you bonneville fans:
-My drivers info cent and compass only come on once awhile, and sometimes they are only on half bright, and suggestions? i have tried all fuses even the ones behind the glove box. :?: very annoying!!!
-also the buttons on the steering wheel dont work, causeing the radio to lock, but when i first got it it worked fine???
All suggestions will make my life alot easier... :)
Since i bought it i have sand blasted the ugly black wheels down to the aluminum and had them polished. they look great! i have also painted the lines on the taillights after 5 hours of masking the little lines off!! ahh... they look brand new though...

After i finish all my problems with this car, i plan to sell for more, and get a 1991 SSE white with tan leather, sunroof and the gold wheels. then have black racing strips down the center. Thats my dream car.

You should have the wheels clear coated to protect them now.

For $500 what did you expect????? I think your being alittle hard on the car, being the shape its in.......glad to see your redoing it, but for money or love? take a look at my car (website) with the ugly black wheels (which is stock for that year SSE and not meant to be tampered with, I would really like to see a picture of your blasted wheels??uugggh!!) and you may have a different opinion of what yours CAN look like. By the way cars are worth much more $$$$$$$ original!!! not altered for cosmetic purposes.

Sorry i dont have a digital camera or a scanner, but i will try to find one. Any of you people with a 88' and have the manual, there is a picture of what they look like iin the wheels section. If you have one, please post or email me a pic of it. i have a few more people asking for pics. THANKS!
