1990 Bonneville SE won't start
 

Today I changed out the orings on my fuel injectors due to leaks in a two of them. Unfortunately I put the fuel rail assembly back together twice incorrectly due to some real amateur mistakes and lost quite a bit of gas in the process on a nearly empty tank. Now the car cranks but it won't start whatsoever and I'm pretty much stumped as to why this would occur. Could I simply be out of gas or is there something more I'm not considering?

I also changed out the O2 sensor. Could putting a faulty one in cause the car to not start?

a bad o2 wouldnt cause the car to not start. double check your injector wires, and push the little schrader valve on the fuel rail to get the air out.

Hmm, injector wires seem secure and i let the air out of the valve. Even walked down the road to get another gallon of gas to put in it in case I'd run it out. Still no go =\

So you now have fuel at the rail?
Are you getting spark?
Have you checked all the fuses?

Hmm don't seem to be getting any fuel at the rail as far as I can tell.

Turn the key to run position. Turn key off. Then bleed the air out. Repeat until you get fuel to the rail. The pump will only run for two seconds when the key is turned on.

Did you put that gas in the tank?
Can you hear the fuel pump run?

I put the gas in the tank but I don't believe I'm hearing the fuel pump. Going to bleed the air out per your instructions though.

Still a no go. Gas was leaking bad from the seals the first time I put the fuel rail on. Could I have gotten something wet or anything that'd keep it from starting?

I've noticed athat if I leave it set a while and start, it feels like its -about- to turn over before just cranking hopelessly.

If you still don't have fuel at the rail you'll need to check for power going to the fuel pump. There is a lead by the battery that goes to the fuel pump. That lead should have 12 volts for 2 seconds when the key is turned to the run position & a constant 12 volts while cranking. If you have 12 volts then I'd put more gas in the tank. If you don't have 12 volts the fuse is on the passenger side behind the glove box. You can also check for 12 volts at the pink wires going to the fuel injectors. I can't recall if the fuel injector wires are long enough to put them on the wrong injectors. Double check it.

The wires are long enough to put on the wrong injectors, I remember Jr did it once but the car still ran. Did you disconnect the battery when changing out the 02 to reset the ECU? If you jump 12v to the test terminal you should hear the fuel pump go on.
