Default Intermittent code 32?

I get an intermittent code 32 on my 87 LE when it warms up. The SES light will come on, go off, stay off, come on, u know the drill. I looked up the code in a book at work and it says 3 different possibilities: If i remember correctly it was something to do with the EGR, the barometric pressure sensor out or range, and one more that slips my mind. Any ideas? Liki i said it'* only at operating temperature. Not cold. Thanks. I know i've been asking a lot of ?'* lately but i just got her for nothin so it needs some work. Thanks again.

Well then a wise investment would be for a factory service manual. You probably have a "3" engine which I am not very familiar with.

I'm sure it'* not a MAF problem, because there is no physical difference in the car'* behavior when the light comes on. Maybe it was a code 32? It was that or 35. Not 34 though.

boy do i feel like an idiot. It was a code 32. So this is the trouble from the book : "EGR valve did not change when the command was given during off-idle operation." Now my car does not have the electric EGR like the vin C motors do, it'* just got one vacuum line going to it. So is this my problem?

Maybe it'* stuck? Try pushing on it. Does it push in and reflex back? If you pull the vacuum line [with the car running] does it have vacuum?

I *think* (this is how my Fiero worked) there is an EGR diagnostic switch. When the EGR command is over 50%, the coolant is over some value (for the Fiero it was 80C) and you have at least 7" of vaccuum, if the switch does not make in 8 seconds the code is set.
