1987 to 1988 changes in engine design
i know there was ALOT of advancements in the 1988 from the 87'...anyone care to point me or tell what mechanic changes were made besides "well,the vin c showed up and 440-t4 with a 5 pin plug was introduced", what were any body changes made?..like doors being 1/8 inch shorter?..or anything like that? manifold different,stuff like that..im getting ready to buy a 87 for parts...(toast tranny,and engine is burnnig ALOT of oil..)

Well the 88 also got a balance shaft. If talking about the difference between and '87 "3" and 1988 "C" engines then the whole ignition system is different ("3" has single ring balancer, "C" has dual ring as still used today)
