Wolfgang'* Project "Blue Devil" (25 photos)
Now before you laugh (or cry, lol) remember that the only things that have been done so far are either very temporary fixes and/or roughneck survival methods. I am from EAST Fort Worth after all. lol
Some of the pics are a little dark. Unfortunately only had time to get some photos in the late afternoon...
The driver'* side door moulding was off another car anyway.
Paint is comin off from time and sun. Also you'll still see the trailer power outlet that still hasn't been removed. I already got the stupid trailer hitch off.
The pretty side.
Still that wonderfully menacing Bonneville look.
Packing tape saves the day again! I'm looking into some new fog lamps (and brackets). I must say though, other than the busted bracket, the fog lamps have worked wonderfully.
The original door moulding here was off another car when I bought it, and it eventually flew off when I was driving down Interstate 30. Also that fender is cracked.
I have repeatedly looked for replacement taillights at junkyards, but they ALL have this same chipping problem, some complete with this same goo crap that the dealer tried to touch it up with.
I had to SCREW the rear passenger moulding back on. It literally got ripped off by one of those high-pressure dryers when leaving an automatic car wash, lol. I also find it necessary to say that the front passenger door moulding was apparently riveted back on by someone.
Other than dog hair, the back seats are in good shape.
Haven't had a chance to vacuum.
I'm at the point where this door panel is completely trashed. I'm just gonna get another one. Courtesy light does work though, lol.
My recliner handle broke off. Gotta get another one of those too.
Decent dash.
A/C doesn't work, and I installed a Pioneer DEH-17 CD Player
Yet even more issues. The wooden brace is because I'm waiting to receive new hood struts. Also, I'm gonna have to rewire the overhead hood light. It'* not the bulb. That radiator is brand new.
The engine was actually about this clean when I bought it. I haven't even had the chance to clean it up yet.
That'* a shorter belt, cause the A/C compressor isn't worth anything, so I just bypassed it.
That airbox is gonna be gone in due time.
I love my 3800. Runs better than a lot of new cars I've ridden in.
That big butt.
GHETTO-FABULOUS!!! That'* an aftermarket Pentech Thumbtack Headliner Adhesive Kit and a minivan clutter catcher straight from... you guessed it... Wal-Mart! (These are TEMPORARY!)
When you realize that this thing was designed for the floor of a minivan, it really makes you see how massive the interior of the Bonne is...
Over-the-Driver View
From the backseat, and my neck.
Looking back.
Well, there you have it. This is basically the "before" images. I feel it is my duty to restore her back to her proper condition, with a few upgrades.
I call her a 'Blue Devil' cause she'* blue and looks like hell. Hopefully it will eventually change to represent that she performs like a bat of hell and.... well, she'* still Blue.

Gitterdun!!!
That actually looks to be a very decent base. She'll be good as new in no time! That engine does look really clean!
It seems as if the rear is riding a bit high?
Good car overall, though!

Thanks!
I have a strange hunch that the weirdoes that owned the car before (it'* from Missouri originally) jacked up the back so it wouldn't drag when they were TOWING stuff...
I'm really excited about getting her up and purdy again, heh. Even though I'm on the eastside, it'd be nice to stand out a little, lol.

We have the same cd player. Yours looks a little bit more beat up *lol* but still a good deck, eh? I dunno why, but I'm almost proud to see another Bville on the board as beat up as mine.

lol yeah, it'* got a ways to go...
It is, but due to the fact that I've had to drive a Plymouth Acclaim, Pontiac Fiero, Chevy Cavalier, and now this Bonneville without A/C during the summer, I'm quite accustomed to it, lmao. I'm actually debating on if I should get the A/C replaced. It'* just a convenience. I'm pretty sure I can rough it out for a while, as there'* obviously other things that could use more attention at the moment, hehe.
Thanks for all your input!
That must be miserable in Texas with a dark car and no air conditioning.
Thanks for all your input!
