Showing her age!(lots of pics)
Well the story starts off, that I am off this week. So I only spend a couple days at the cottage, cause we had some parts to pick up in Oshawa ( about 6 hours away) form a member of my other forum the ontariobonnevilleclub. We pick those parts up ( pics below). I then decided yesterday that I was going to try and clean up the outside of the bonne a bit and get rid a the visible rust. Besides, she is about to hit 200,000 kms on her and I wanted her to look her best. I can possibly hit 200,000kms tomorrow after work if I wanted to and I think I will try to do it.
Well I don't have the final pics yet but here is what I have so far.
First pics are of the parts we picked up. I am pretty sure from the pics people can tell what they are.
AND now for the rust pics. They are in no particular order. I did one side of the car at a time, so I started with the passenger side and today worked on the drivers side.
Do you like the black gas door I installed? The previous one was just getting really rusty, I also fixed the lock on the door too. That black door must add at least 20 HP. Being that the car does have black trim on it, it doesn't actually look that bad. It is still stock, but looks aftermarket, lmfao.
These wires ( well only one of them) were hooked up to the passenger side door handle, anyone have a clue what for?? maybe interior lights so when you grab the handle they turn on??
Primed and ready for paint. Remember one thing here, all the painting is done by brush, primer and paint, and it looks it, but we are just trying to get more use out of the car before a real body job or a new(er) car.
Now for today and what was under the paint on the driver'* side
And the dreaded Bondo. I just need it to look good and last a bit longer. These pics are before I sanded and primed.
Passenger side after paint has dried. Yes the repairs are noticeable, but looks WAY| better than rust against white, lol.
I will update with the finished pics later this weekend.

Lookin good! Could you possibly share the method you used to remove the rust and fill it in like that? My Bonne has lots of rust in very similar spots as yours, and I want to do the same thing.
