There are many things that OBDII has to offer. First and foremost is the standardization that allows you to go anywhere for a scan. Depending on the vehicle, HP Tuners or DHP etc have a tuner for you. More sensors with more data means easier problem solving usually.

OBD II has better standardization within brands, but OBD I is much easier for a tuning standpoint in most cars. OBD I Bonne'* don't have the market though for such a program..

Thats what I'm using and I don't have to shut the car down to make a change. Dosen't act as a scantool though..
Major difference is there is no MAP so PE tables are useless. It'* all MAF, similar to 3rd gen F-bodies.
