New Weekend is here so let the weekend project continue. Just finished up my last "Stock Injector" Tune and I am going to head out and give her one last rump on em'. Then I will come back to the Appt and get the injectors swapped out

The new injectors use the USCAR style of connector and I hate adapters so here are the new connectors all laid out and ready for install.
As Always having the right tools makes the job much easier and you will get a better end result 9 times outta 10.
Here are the front three injectors after being snugged down and leak tested. The backs are also in, but its kinda hard to get a good pic of them.
And this is just a pic showing you that its is still a pretty stock, nothing fancy motor.

And for those of you who are trying to make a physical size comparison between the old and new injectors, lemme tell you, the new EV14'* are TINY laying next to the EV6'* that came out of the car, even with the purple height adapter on them. When I decide on a set of fuel rails to buy I will re-design the mounting brackets to eliminate the spacers.

The pins get crimped with the special crimping tool to make a OEM style connection. The Silicone plug also gets crimped to prevent it from coming out of the connector once its installed.
The pins just slide into the housing and click into place, then the red locking ring snaps down and locks everything together.
Since these injectors are so much shorter the connectors are pretty close to the valve cover. When I get rails I will have to see if I can flip the injectors and have the connectors on the inside for some extra clearance.

I have it lock down to about .75% Error at WOT and .50% Error at cruise. This motor never really seemed to like a lot of timing and is pretty sensitive to knock, but I am hoping that will change on E85. All of this tuning, and the insane injectors headroom is really making me want a big ol' cam now.

You can safely drop in a S1X on the stock valve train. By my math with modified retainers and Vitron valve seal you can run that cam with 1.7:1 rockers. Actually 1.75:1 but that'* cutting it really close.
