Default WCBF05 BEST of the BEST! Hand picked great photos!

Here we go. Paul, Laura, John, Matt, Joel and I just went through about half of our pics and picked the best 16. Enjoy:

I have NFC what the hell was going on in this pic of John, Me, and Pooky. I think John was trying the vulcan mind-meld to absorb some of my perfect launchability skills.

Silverbullet in the left lane, Chadow427 in the right. Chadow was trying to catch up to the staging line, but just sat there spinning for some crazy reason. He was really confused.

PontiacMom and the Bullet driver telling a good joke about PontiacDad'* bad habits. Something involving his left nostril and an ice pick. I don't really remember the rest of it.

SilverBullet in the left lane, Chadow427 in the right. Chadow'* smoke is pretty obvious, but don't be fooled by the smoke coming from the Bullet. Paul farted after eating at the Mongolian grill the night before. He cracked his window for some fresh air, and the foul stench permeated the entire dragstrip. Chadow was in such a hurry to escape the stench, he posted the highest trap of the meet at 99.xx mph. No kidding on that trap.

DriverJohn in the left lane conserving his trans, Chadow427 trying to get his money'* worth out of Pdad'* slicks. We couldn't see either of these white cars after the burnouts.

We all busted a gut laughing at some of Bill'* captions to these pics.

Just getting ready to leave this morning for Portland with DriverJohn.
Will be in Seattle this afternoon and then back to Vancouver BC the next day.

Thanks Bill for being such a GREAT host again this year.

Good times......great memories.....and the desire to do it again next year for sure.

Both days were BLISTERING. Peak track temps (in the staging lanes which are cooler than the track itself) were 135° on Friday, and 140° on Saturday. The 4 cars that ran in the Pontiac class on Saturday morning managed a couple cool runs before it heated up, and this is where Pdad and the Bullet pulled their 13'*, Chadow'* PB of 14.055, and John'* PB of 15.2. Each of them improved from the day before by 2-3 tenths just because of the cooler track in the morning, but it didn't last.

Had we seen 'ideal' conditions, we would have had 3 cars in the 13'* instead of 2, and 3 of the cars that posted in the 15'* would have easily been in the 14'*. But it was still fun as hell. Having 2 mod days and 2 track days was fantastic, even for those that didn't run both days, and those that didn't run at all. Even better than last year.

Thank you all once again for a great time!! John, a special thanks to you for welcoming us into your home and for organizing such a great WCBF. And to my wonderful boys....you know who you are....thank you for coming and making WCBF even better. Bob, I am so glad you made the trip...I know it was hard. Thanks for letting me drive your cars.....and Matt and Bill...take care of MY cars!!!!!

Oh we did make it home safe and sound by the way. There is a bad forest fire by Cache Creek, and we did try to take some pictures of it, but they didn't turn out. Bone Evil was covered in ash this morning. The drive was uneventful, and we picked up PJess, and drove home to rain :? I will not complain how hot it was down in Oregon!!!

Well, Rogue, I got some bad news for ya.....If I had hit the 13'* like the other 2k'* there, I would have been satisfied. But I didn't, so the desire to hit 13'* has been suprassed by the desire to hit 12'*. So 8-ball, here comes "cue ball"!

But in a more serious note, yeah, it was a total blast!! I'd like to thank every one again for everything. Y'all know who you are and what you've done. It was/is much appreciated. Props to Bill for letting us use his house and I hope his neighbors have forgiven him for the burnout I did once my car was running right.

Even after WCBF was over, it wasn't totally over....driving home in Oregon, I was caravanning with two bonnes, right past Bonneville dam. Coincidence? Or higher power?
