Ok... lets talk filters....
What are some of the filters (if any) that you use on your camera.
If you have any comparision shots, that would be cool too.
I was looking into the following filters and had some questions...
CIRCULAR POLARIZER vs POLARIZING FILTER vs WIDE CIRCULAR POL FILTER
(What'* the difference?)
80A 80B 81A 81B 82A 82B..... what'* the difference?
DIFFUSER FILTER ... is that like a "blur" effect?
UV FILTER
Didn't know we could see UV rays....
Also, I'm really thinking of getts a "STAR CROSS FILTER"... it seems to be the one to add "sparkle" to things. (Owners of any "bling" "bling" might wanna pick this up).
My Canon A70 allows me to put on any 52mm adapter, so I can just buy any 52mm filter and put it on. However.... most (low to mid) range digital cameras don't have that feature. I did see a product in the store that allowed you to put in filters, into a small stand, which you could attach your digital camera to, so that you can use any filters. I forget who makes it, but next time I'm there I'll look it up. Cost was like $49 Cdn, and it came w/ 3 filters included.

I use a circular polarizer. The lens actually pivots (adjusts...spins....) you have to shoot several shots with it to see different effects. This will take the reflections out if taking pictures of glass or water. I can shoot some samples to show you the difference if you want.
Diffuser does 'blur'. If you look at some of my pics, you'll notice when I use it. It can hide blemishes in cars, and give that 'mystical' appearance. Some of my shots also were done with a star filter. Those are obvious. I can't find the sucker right now though

Bill... what star filter do you have 4 point, 6 point, 8 point or "cross".
(Not sure on the difference between 4 and cross)

The 4 point is an "x", the cross is a "+".
I have either the 6 or 8. I gotta find it to be sure, or look at some pics. BTW, you can get a 2x teleconverter in the form of a filter, too

Also.... I think you own the 8 star filter....
What other filters (if any) were used in this shot?
