Never allowed smoking in any of my vehicles. Frown heavily upon eating. My car is usually the vehicle of choice when going anywhere with friends though. It takes its abuse but I keep it up well. Need to get some winter mats for the SLE.

Sams has winter mats I really like. Enough to put in all 3 vehicles. Very soft, thick, rubber. With very deep grooves and an edge that holds the melted snow. $20.

Don't you have to be a member to get into Sams? I think I walked into one on accident once thinking it was a walmart and got chased out by some Spanish speaking door person asking for a membership or something like that.

LOL, Ya you do. But it is worth the cost of the yearly fee for sure. Even though they are part of the Walton Group, they can rip Wally prices on so many things. Been there long enough to know what to get there, and what to get at Wally, especially with groceries. Also Sams gets a lot of Brand name bundles made for it on some items, and huge savings on brand name clothing lots. They will let you in to peruse before you get a card.
For example I got my Canon Rebel in a bundle at Sams for $599. The items in the bundle can be had at Wally in pieces. The cam alone there is 599, the telephoto lens 199, Canon carryall bag 99, 8 gig card 29. So if your looking to buy something like that or a laptop, tv, notebook, appliance or such; the membership pays for itself first time out. They also have a great policy of canceling and refunding your membership anytime during the first year. But I doubt they get many takers.

Given used cars pricing schemes, I think buying a GXP and swapping in a the L67 would be easier, less expensive. Myself I keep pondering what to do when the throwaway LD8 goes. I'd prefer an Olds FWD designed 350 drivetrain. The L67 based drivetrain has it'* fans and diehard modders, and thats all good. But I don't want to put something in I haven't seen anybody perfect "hardy" with.

That'* been my musing for several years Dakaota. The setup pulled the Toronado around for years without failing. Just wonder how many are left by the time my N* gives up the ghost. She'* a stubborn purring one.
