New Intake YAY! (pic whorage != 56k)
So today I finally got time to put in my new intake using the pipe from Autozone and a Samco coupler and the K&N X-stream RX-4750 (big pimp). I was going to remove the TB for cleaning after I got the airbox off but that turned out to be more of a pain than I thought....I removed 3 nuts and still could get it to budge and then found there was another one underneath a black piece of metal that had a nut that I already removed on top of that and to remove the black piece of metal I had to loosen another nut that had the exhaust crossover in the way and was like impossible to get to after many attempts:
Anyways so I gave up on that and just fitted the new intake and put it on...I cut off about 4-5in of the tube (more than bonnebomn guess bc i have the larger washer tank) but it went on pretty nicely...until I remembered the IAT sensor which doesnt fit in the k&n filter hole that was provided....so for now it sits in the intake tube with a piece of ghetto tape wrapped around to hold it on...im going to eventually make the K&N hole bigger with a drill. The filter does touch the washer tank which I probably will fix eventually and is about a half an inch from the compressor. So I just need to move it a bit to get it out of the way. But for now it works and I have a wire nut stuffed in the IAT hole on the K&N filter for now. As you can tell I was a bit short on time. Anyways here are the pics!!!
So I fired it up after putting it on and checking everything to make sure it was tight and immediately I noticed the noise and I was like wow hehe revved it up a bit to hear it and it just sounded awesome already. I went out to dinner with a few of my friends and as soon as we got on the main road I floored it and hear the awesome roar of it. It was like a old school muscle car sound almost hahah almost! The best part is how amazed I was at how much more powerful the ride felt. It was very nice I love it!!! more power along the entire bandwith i can really feel it! Im very happy with the results and will be making a heat shield and possibly ram air to bring cool air straight to it. Can't wait for Bonnefest now!

That L27 'evil nut' is a BITCH. I dealt with that twice on Jseabert'* 93sse. The Series 1 L67 is much easier to remove the TB from. Not sure on the S2 L67 or L36. Never done those.
