Already started somewhat. She'* runnin 2 40 series flowmasters, a gutted airbox, and 180 degree thermostat. I've got a hi flow cat, powerlog, and 3.5 in pulley that i need to get around to installin. But even now, she'll embarass the everyday average car.LOL

I've had her for a little over a year i believe. Previous owner was an older lady believe it or not, so she was in pretty good shape when i got her. There are a little over 120,000 miles on her and besides from a leaky valve cover gasket which i replaced last weekend she'* been little to no trouble.

How do the 40 series sound? I've had 40'* on previous 5.3'* that I've owned, but never on a V6?

Doesn't sound too ricerish does it?

Not at all! to tell you the truth I was shocked when i first had them installed because even on a v6 they sound kinda muscley. Nothin ricer about em.

Did you replace any of the piping, or just the mufflers?

Fortunately all my stock piping was still in pretty good shape so no, i didnt replace any of it. I'll eventually swap out the stock cat for the hi flo one, but its all still the original 2.5 in piping.

Yeah, mines good too. I was just asking if you did to change the sound because 2.5 is really small...considering I'm used to 3" and 3.5" piping.

2.5" exhaust on these engines are more then enough. Billboost is just at the point where he'* outflowing the pipes.
