New Tires for the LeSabre
It somehow looks lost without the whitewall tires. The tires are Pirelli P4 Four Seasons. Much better than the old, low-end Generals. Yes, I need to wash/wax and get to work on those rust bubbles.

Very nice.
How do you enjoy the ride with the new tires? Did it make a big difference?
Oh yeah! Now that the nice weather is finally here, we're all eager to get to our wash buckets and wax!

The Aerostar we have came with whitewalls, and we've had them sometimes, sometimes not. What I've noticed as the main difference is that the whitewalls make the tires look shorter. Now that you have all black tires, your car looks a bit more modern, but the tires also appear bigger.

So far these tires are working out well. Lots of grip, slightly harder ride, and they are much more secure in cornering than the old Generals. Granted, the alignment done yesterday could have something to do with cornering as well. (To be fair to General, I had a set of General summer tires on another car that were amazing through the corners.)
The look is growing on me. At least it makes telling my car apart from the millions of other LeSabres slightly easier!

It'* the first set I've put on. AFAIK, the relative who had this car before me bought it with the whitewalls seen in the photo. And that was back in 2002. The car had 16k miles on it then. When I acquired it the mileage was at 30k. Nothing was done to it in that time besides a couple oil changes and inspections every year. It'* slowly being caught up on maintenance things when there'* time to.
