Actually, you know what it looks like is the Bonneville badge off an SE, with the more edgy lettering.. that would explain the no V8 badge too.

Yes the emblem is wrong. I think my problem was that i was dealing with a moron in the parts department. He told me the emblem was replaced by this one. The one that was on it was more "bubbly letters" and the letters were all individual. He also told me the v8 was not available. I guess I need to call another dealer. He even asked for my vin to figure out other parts, but got some of those wrong also. Its hard to find a good parts guy.
Now, as for driving the car. Today is the first time I really got on it off the line just to see what it would do. It is Much quicker than I thought it would be. It almost seems the more I drive the car, It is driving better. I dont know if its in my head, or I have heard in the past, that cars learn how you drive and can adjust to you. Is this true at all?? Anyway, I love driving it and I think it will be a reliable daily driver and a safe car for my family.
