I've always had a huge thing for the transam look! Forgive my ignorance, but isn't the firehawk the V6 version of the Trans-Am?

Oh no!

The Firehawk is highest trim level you can get on a Formula or Trans Am. I think the V6 models are called GTs or something like that.

The basic Firehawk package included (above and beyond what you'd get on a WS6):
--Composite hood w/ functional air scoops
--Hood mounted heat extractors
--Stainless steel performace exhaust system
--Upgraded suspension components
--Firestone Firehawk P275/40ZR17 tires
--Firehawk exterior graphics & hood emblem
--Firehawk dash plaque and keyfobs

There were then 6 options you could add to the base package:
--Billstein Ultra Performace Suspension System
--Auburn high torque, performance differential w/ AAM cast aluminum cooling cover
--17" x 9" chrome plate, five-spoke aluminum wheels
--Premium floor mats w/ embroidered Firehawk logo
--Custom car cover with silk-screened Firehawk graphics
--Castrol "Syntec" lubricants package

My car, #496 of 719 in 99, has all 6 of the options! IMO, the vanity plate is quite fitting!
