Now, the quality of the images themselves is based on a few things...the shooter, settings and lens. And I won't count Photoshop either.
I do like having the extra 8MP due to I randomly use photos for whatever and crop out small details but yes, there isn't anything spectacularly better about mine vs Nick'*, just poking fun at Nikon
. The HD video actually isn't bad, I love having it because I'll never record enough video to justify a camcorder, but i want the HD when I do record. The video of my exhaust was taken with my T3i and it doesn't look half bad, but I also wasn't recording anything really that was moving.
