we know it says SE but what they mean is...
when a SE has leather and ecc (electronic climate controls) it could be optioned as a SLE. thats why jr's3800 asked to check the tire cover for 1SD

I don't think it'* Galaxy Silver, IIRC, Galaxy Silver on a Bonneville wasn't introduced until the '99 model year. I could be wrong..I bet it'* Silver Mist...

Nonetheless, it'* one sweet looking ride!

Well since it IS a '98 it has to be an SE, because as I stated before, the SLE'* in 1998 have the SSE style body cladding. And it sounds like Cody is "safe"

Yes indeed! Got the car back today and it has code "1SD" on the spare tire cover.

What does that mean? Is it an SLE?

So, window tint goes on tomorrow. Upgraded the front speakers (both not working) to Memphis AR component sets. Kenwood KDC-MP922 head unit , iPOD interface and Sirius also installed. I have to find an antenna on the bay since it'* broken. Dealer wants $229.00 just for the part. The motor is burned out since the mast was bent (overworked the motor).

Got my refurb 16" wheel today and the new Kuhmo tires will arrive tomorrow.

This project is moving along nicely. I'll take more pics of the car when it comes back with window tint, new wheel, tires, etc. More than likely over the weekend.

Don't spend the $229 bucks. Post a topic in the "Wanted" section and I bet you could get one for about $200 less.

I still don't understand how it'* a '98 SLE with the SE body style :? Do you have "H4U" on the cover as well? I thought all SLE'* include the 1SD RPO but not all cars with 1SD are necessarily SLE'*...

Sorry for being an *** and dragging this on, but I'm still confused
