Pics of my exhaust tips and intake installed today
Hey everyone,
Got my exhaust tips today and am getting my muffler and the tips put on this afternoon. The cat and rest of the system will be coming in the next couple weeks.
I also took a couple pics of the tips prior to the install as well as pics of my Cold Air Intake installed.
Even got some pics of my car since I got the front fixed and the windshield put in. I am working on putting them on my cardomain.com page so keep looking.
Exhaust and intake pics will be on page 2 and for the pics of the fixed car I am putting on page 1 and moving the pics of the damaged car to page 7 (new page).
Can't wait to get G-teched or take it to the strip.
Keep watching my cardomain page as more and more pics will going up over the next few days.

Hey.. nice ride.. quick question however when I was browsing through your domain and notice that you ( or the previous owner ) had that green tab to fix the lockin mechanism of the center console. Do you know where that Tab came from ? Thanx a bunch.. another thing I have to do on Muffins car.. thanx for any help you can give.
P.*. Can't wait to hear the Magnaflo.. I"m assuming that'* the one for the Camaro ??

Yes, it was done by the previous owner. It looks like a waxy plastic that was cut down to fit. If you want me to send some better pics I'll try to get some better ones (it only takes a couple seconds to take off the cover and only a couple more for me to send them (and add to my cardomain.com site).
As for the Magnaflow -yes it is the Camaro style and I think it was overkill. The car seems to have lost some of it'* low-end torque. I only put the muffler and the tips on leaving the original 2.25" cat and piping. I am almost tempted to put the original muffker back on and use only one tip or get a SSE/SSEi muffler and retain the pair.
For the sound it actually isn't much louder than the stock. It is about the same tone, but a little louder (not annoying - I didn't want a absurdly loud and I am pleased to say it is much quieter than I expected). I pulled up next to my brother in his SSE and revved the engine and didn't even notice until he saw the tips. No burbly sound. I have only put 10 miles on it, so I don't know if that will change after little time.
It is really noticeable (the loss of torque) when I kick it down at say 20-25 as I used to hear the tires chirp on the 3-1 downshift, but not anymore and gone also is the stronger pull. The speedo needle also shows slower momentum. I don't know. I'll try it for another week and if I am not satisfied I will probably swap back to the original or pull the muffler off the SSE parts car.
And for the tips they look kinda cool. I expected that with their angles they would point parallel to the ground, but they actually point up like Corvette tips (which is pretty cool I think.
I didn't get the car back until after it was dark so I will wait until tomorrow to take the pics and get them posted on the cardomain pages.

Actually if you look at the first pic on page 1 you can see the current condition of the car. Headlight has been straightened and the winshield swapped. All it needs now is the pistriping on the left fender and the paint touched up around the wheel well on the left fender.
I am going to put more pics of the car and the exhaust up in about 5 minutes -going out to take pics now and will come back in and put the pics up asap.
