spent 5 hours detailing it today...gawd does it look good...but i found a few things that made my heart sink... i did run the carfax on it...and it had 2 major accidents... and i found them... one you can really see under the hood, all new welding on the fenderwells, and there is/was overspray on the whole car (after i spend 1 hour getting all the rubber of ), and i found all the paint blending spots...
Car looks FANTASTIC! I always loved some pic time after washin it up.
As for the carfax, I never had one run on it when I bought it from a private dealer. I did notice the thing in the front left wheel well as far as the welding. I was told when they bought it from auction the hub or control arm broke and the tire smashed the fender well apart thus needing to be fixed and repainted. It didn't bother me much at all so I didn't care and forgot to mention it. As for the second one.. never knew that.. pm me and let me know where it was... I know there is a funky paint transition on the upper molding overtop of the doors. I was aware of the wheel well welds, but nothing else.
I am so glad you are happy with the car though. Also, pm me your address, I have a fresh set of rear pads sitting here I bought for it and never got around to putting on the car.. I'll mail them to ya.
... I also bet you could make 99' seats fit in it hehe.
At any rate, I am moving to indiana now so I probably won't be around for a few weeks. Do you still have the blower from the old motor or is that being turned in for core? If you have it, I'm interested..
