looks good....but looks like that paint needs some attention in the whole wash/clay/swirl remover/wax department...but otherwise nice and clean.

Look at the sticker on your spare tire cover (under the carpet in the trunk). You are looking for the code "H4U". This means you have the SLE package, like my car.

That looks pretty darn good, I have never seen a Pipe with a double bend like that, Well not on a bonne anyway. My only suggestion would be when it comes time to clean the filter ( if you even can with what ever kind that is) I would buy the bigger K&N and cut an inch or two off the pipe to get it to fit in there ( If you get a K&N RX-4750 like most here do it would come with a hole already in it for your IAT sensor )

but beyond changing anything like that a simple heat shield around the filter would do you good

I agree, I would cut the pipe down a little. It looks kinda in an akward position where it is now.

Yeah, the placement of the filter is very nice there. That'* the good thing about the smaller washer fluid tank. You want the path of the air flowing to be as straight as possible. So while cutting the pipe before the second bend wouldn't hurt, what you have is just fine, and MUCH better than an electric SC.
