New exhaust tips! (56k If you gotta)
Ok, I just got the new tips installed this weekend! It took a little more work than planned, as the new ones were a bit wider than the stock pipe. We actually had to break the weld on the clamps to get them off. Then, after realizing the difference in diameter, I had to hacksaw the bolt off of the clamps to use the ring part as a spacer to hold the tips. Using those as spacers made it a pretty easy job (according to the guy doing it--I'm clueless about welding).
Anyway, here are the pics taken this afternoon. Sorry guys, great weather again here in San Antonio.
As you can probably see, the stock tips are not symetrical, and the new ones are. So, the new tips are slightly to the center of the car, which isn't a big deal to me. I think one day, when I am so inclined, I will take it to a muffler shop and have new pipe bent and made so the tips come out more centered. Until then, however, I am definitely satisfied with the way they came out!
Let me know what you think!

kl_237, I take it there was enough straight pipe to make it a fairly simple install (other thank the problems you mentioned). I remember in another thread it was cause for concern because the angles of the factory pipes.
The tips look great, I cant wait to get mine done!! Hopefully today or tomorrow. Looks sweet!!
