rims and tires question???
how would these 18"* look on my bonne?
ALSO Does anyone know if 245/40/18s would fit a 94 se? I heard recommendations of 225/40/18s

I am planning on running 235/50 16'* on my 89 and I think someone here is using 245/50-16'* on there 94 or 95. They would probably fit but I am really against anything bigger then 17'* on any car unless it is to clear bigger brakes.
Thats just me though.

The best way to get more stopping power is to just put bigger rotors on the car and in order to clear bigger rotors you have to have larger wheels.
My bonneville, and I think just about every other stock bonne, has 10.1 inch discs in front and drums out back. One company, Thrasher engineering i think, makes 12 inch discs that would probably work on my car but I would have to go to at least 16 inch wheels to clear them.

I think your gonna want to stick with 235/55/16 not 235/50, because the 235/50 will be off enough to mess up your tach and odometer.
I'm going for 235/55/16 come spring time.

I think your gonna want to stick with 235/55/16 not 235/50, because the 235/50 will be off enough to mess up your tach and odometer.

I have already calculated how much the tires will change the spedo/ odo(Don't have a tach :( ) and it is around 5%. Thats not really a big deal to me I can do the math in my head to figure out what the instruments are really saying. There is a shop that does calibrations near by my shop as well so I could just take it to them and have them recalibrate my stuff too.

but if you go with that low pro of tires kiss your smooth ride good by i went with 255\45 17'* and the ride is considerably rougher

Mine are 245/40/18s and I've never had trouble rubbing or w/ the speed/tachometer. The handling actually improved dramatically w/ that wide of a tire. Check out my pics http://members.cardomain.com/bret1994ssei
