My New Toy
2008 Grand Prix GXP. 31k miles. Unfortunately I am letting the Bonnie go, Iactually posted it in the for sale section. In the mean time I made a little purchase that has not disappointed.
I wasn't a fan of the color at first but it quickly grew on me. Let me know what you guys think. It also came with a K&N intake and flowmaster exhaust already installed. The exhaust tips currently arent on the car, the dealer has to put some new ones on this weekend but I couldn't wait to put the pics up.

Very wise move getting the 2008 model, which has the 100k mile warranty. Those 4T65E transmissions don't do well under the power of that LS4, and you'll take it in to the dealer for a transmission rebuild before the warranty is up, if not twice.
Get a car wash and post more pics on a sunny day!!!

Depends on how you look at it, and that'* not coming form a Bonneville fanboy standpoint; I love those cars as well. Yes it provides more torque at lower RPMs, has a higher horsepower and torque rating than the Bonneville GXP, but when you consider that the Bonneville GXP weighs ~150 pounds more, has a poorer weight distribution (for traction), and does a 1/4 mile in 14.6 while the GP GXP does it in 14.3, they're actually pretty close in overall performance. Both engines have their merits and it really depends on what you're looking for.
I will have to admit though, that LS4 motor sounds very sexy with loud mufflers.

You really should have given him a couple months to enjoy the car before telling him his transmission is a time bomb.
I really like that car, its looks, the interior, and especially the color. A friend of mine has a similar GXP, slightly different color, but I enjoy everything about it. Careful about that engine cover, though. We found a nest under it once, which is really strange given how often the car is driven. Check under the engine cover often to make sure nothing tried to make a home there but then died with the engine'* heat and virtually nowhere to go.
Please thoroughly enjoy your GXP! It'* an awesome, awesome car!
