That G6 GTP coupe was a great looking vehicle. Too bad it looks were it strongest point. We looked at them closely to replace the wife'* SSEi. They didn't come close. Not very confortable, blind spots fpr the driver, etc.

Great looking car. I am obsessed with Impala'*. I've been looking for one for a long time. It'* the perfect car for me...it has power, looks, potential and enough room. I wish I had found one with less than 50K miles on it. :/. Good luck, she'* a beauty.

What'* up with the 3.5 LLT engine by GM? It'* a naturally aspirated engine that by direct injection is able to pump out 305 HP with 87 octane gas. Isn't that supposed to replace the L67? The new V6 Camaros that use it are incredible! The V6 G8s are tuned down to 275, but that'* still marginally more than 239. I'm not saying the 3.9L engine is bad, and in fact I'm sure it has its pros over the LLT. Is there a link to more info on which cars got which V6 and why?

There is no direct injected 3.5L.
The 3.5L in Impalas is just like mine except it has Continuously Variable Valve Timing and Variable Intake Timing like the 3.9L. Output for that (LZE or LZ4) 3.5 is 211hp. Without VVT and VIT is the LX9 (what I have) and it has 200hp.
The 3.6L (LY7) comes with anywhere between 250-275hp and it is a DOHC version of the previously mentioned 3.5L.
The 3.6L (LLT) is the direct injected version of the LY7. It has 312hp.
So again:
3500 LX9 200hp
3500 LZE (VIT VVT) 211hp
3600 LY7 (VIT VVT DOHC) 250hp
3600 LLT (VIT VVT DOHC DI) 312hp
EDIT: A little bit of GM news for you. The Impala is going to be dropping the 3500 and 3900 in a couple of years for the 3600. I don't know whether or not it will get the direct injected version though.
