My 1997 SSEi, new tips and my first whorage
Got a new exhaust tip from GM recently for pretty cheap, never had two tips since I owned this car. So decided to post some pics now that I finally have two exhaust tips lol.
I have had this car for about a year and half. It'* my first car, and I have had it since I'm 17 (I'm now 18 ). I put about 5,000 miles on it since I got it. It had 160,000 (give or take some) when I first got it. It runs good most of the time, but occasionally will have some small problems that come and go. Overall though I love the car, and if I had the money it would certainly not be staying stock. Thought I'd ***** it out for the first time, since I finally have the car looking decent. It was a mess when i got it.
A few months ago, with just one very dirty tip:
After new tip...can you tell which tip is a spray painted original 1997 tip and which one is brand new from GM parts?
The tips are a little off of being even, because the muffler hangs down a bit on one side. The rubber hanger is really eroded on one side.
Parked next to 03 'Nali (dad'*):
After 11 years and 165,000 miles, the paint ain't to bad, but its not as good as other 97s I seen on here:
The interior is still pretty good, the leather on the driver seat in this car has less wear and tear than the driver seat of most other cars I have seen with half the miles.
Factory CD player still works, but sometimes I gotta wack it to make the LED screen come on (the track/time/station display)
The back seat has been barely ever used.

Very nice.
Were the tips like a bare metal (the new one anyhow)
if it was, I'd have just found a place and sand blasted both inside and out, high temp paint (black) outside, high temp clear or silver on the lip, and the inside just leave natural.
