My never ending rust battle
I found more, today I decided to clean the car up and I wanted to undercoat but by the time I got done cleaning (took 5 hours) I figured I would to the undercoating tomorrow since the garage floor will be dry and I can start sanding down my one wheel well.
Heres some pics from my adventure
Vacuuming and tearing the seat out
Figured out how to get the seat out, wayyy easier than I thought thank god.
Heres where the water/mud pools up when it gets in
Yay another hole right under the seat
Filled it with some silicone sealant
This is what the bolt for the back seat reinforcement should look like. (Drivers side)
This is what the water damaged passenger side looks like.
This is the undercoat Im putting on tomorrow.

It converts the rust and seals the metal.
As for the rockers, you can buy new rockers, cut out the old ones and have the new ones welded in to place. When painted you need a rubberized paint or it will get chipped away and start rusting again.

id like to replace the rockers and put undercoating or bedliner on them, because 1 they would look better black, and 2 thats some pretty decent protection.
but i dont have the tools to do these things unless i had the junkyard take the rockers off for me and have someone do the work on my car.
