Well, his last car was black, so I think he originally wanted a change. But, the black one had stuff that the factory silver one didn't, which was something that definately interested my dad. Overall, I think the black one was the better choice in the long run with some of the visuals he has on the exterior.

They are definitely great cars. My dad finished up the Camaro the other day. He had a problem with getting the exhaust to fit, but did some custom fabrication, including having a shop do some welding for him last week. That same day, he got the Camaro wrapped up and drivable. It runs great, and is really loud, like when he first bought it (previous owner had straight pipes on it, so it'* almost like he never really replaced the straight pipes, just with an added rumble from the Flowmasters). He'* taking it to the same shop to have them install resonators. But, I think he should leave it as-is, because it sounds like what a Camaro should sound like, imo. Then again, he works rotating shifts, and he respects some of our neighbors.

He just recently ordered the Sinister body kit for his Camaro. It'll be here in the next day or 2. And I guess he doesn't like the stripes, so the trunk lid (maybe the spoiler too, if he decides to keep the factory one) stripes will be removed, while the hood won't have them put on.
He also decided to paint the engine cover (still a bit of a work-in-progress, as the paint likes to lift on him), as well as ordered Chevrolet decals for over the lettering, and a chrome V8 and ring all for the engine cover. He even ordered a guage plaque. And with the new hood, he thinks he'll most likely order some LS3 emblems that are styled like the Corvette ZR1 emblems.

Well, my dad took the Camaro to the body shop last week to have the body kit painted and installed, as well as getting rid of the stripes. He also ordered the Heritage grille, and had the shop install it for him. It got to come home today. He just needs to reposition the mufflers because of the rear fascia. He'* waiting on the LS3 emblems and guage plaque to get here, and is still working on the engine cover. He is now considering painting the new hood'* scoop vent red.

Nice ride! Those are some sweet looking accessories he put on. The shifter is awesome, one of our customers has the same one, his is auto though.

Oh, and I almost forgot, the muffler shop he took it to painted part of the exhaust pipes black. I think it goes back far enough to where you can't see the exhust pipes.
