Black Betty and Menzerna (56K warning)
Well I finally got a chance to give my car the once over with the new Menzerna polishes that I bought a few weeks ago, and I can surely say I was impressed. The brand I previously bought last year did a decent job, but just didn't remove all the swirls, even with two applications. Well this stuff took out all of the marring in one step except for the deeper stuff that I'm not going to thin my clear over. I was also amazed by the even deeper and better shine I got with the finishing polish compared to the other brand.
Products used:
Menzerna Super Intensive Polish
Menzerna Micro Polish
Unknown wax (it was a test wax from P21S)
Notice the grill outline actually is quite noticeable in daylight.

Have you used anything to cut the orange peel, or has the various polishing compounds done that for you?
Looks great, I'm in the market for a polish to PC the GTI with, way too much orange peel, and a lot of spider webs going down the side of the car.

Thanks for the comments. I did it with a Porter Cable da buffer. It has had any affect on the orange peel that I can tell. You really have to wet sand to get rid of orange peel, but then you will probably end up thinning the paint too much. A lot of people say that factory paint isn't that thick, plus the fact that if you go past the first third of the clear, you compromise the UV protection.
