SingsCountry'* NEBF Mods & after whorage
You know...we show a lot of the partying at NEBF, but I gotta say that there is way more modding that goes on than there is partying. I was happy to find something that I can do...and like to do! Painting Calipers! Morty became a blood brother to my ride when dealing with an over-torque issue. Thank you for for getting the tires off!
Coming down the road, it looked like she was hovering in the front yard. You can't tell from this pic, but cars were blocking it all the way around so all you could see was my car 2 ft higher than the rest. Sort of looked like I put a lift kit on it:
As soon as I started painting...it started to rain. One thing about NEBF, you can ALWAYS count on your BC Buddies to lend a helping hand...or in this case...an umbrella. Thanks again Tom (95SLE)! Not only for the umbrella, but for your guidance!
In process
Finished product - I went w/silver only because I couldn't find caliper paint in burgundy.
Now....for the REAL elbow grease... Tom (95SLE) is a maniac when it comes to polishing and protecting cars. He spent at least 5 hours with me doing my car....then did the same with Morty and with Boosty! He brought Zaino...a multi-step protectant system that TOTALLY ROCKS! I cannot express enough my thanks to you and your time. These pics don't even begin to show what she looks like...plus, my camera has a cloudy spot on it for some reason... perhaps leaving it out in the rain on Friday had something to do with it...???
On the way home - I came across this shot and thought of Gumball:
close up bud shot
dusk shot
Even in the dark... the paint job looks....looks.... Liquified! In fact, when I got home, I went to the gas station... there were two young guys - one w/a mustang and one w/a corvette.. Both totally RubberNecked when I drove by...wondering "what the heck is that?"
Thanks again Tom...she looks Show Room New
