Default Mini Meet with ddalder

Darcy (ddalder) drove up from Calgary today to meet up with me and Slayer636.
It was pouring rain for the most part, we had to take most of the pictures in a parkade, however, fun was had, first time i ever rode in a GXP, and all I can say is I absolutely LOVE it. Very comfortable, very smooth power delivery, sounds excellent WOT.
The Navigation set up is awesome as well, I could spend hours playing with the little settings and what not.
Ended up using my grandparents garage a bit to hide from the rain.

Nice mini meet.

The 10th shot reminds of this Pontiac commercial where the GXP is chasing the other Pontiacs

It was great to meet up with SSEimatt93 and Slayer636. As Matt mentioned, the weather didn't exactly cooperate. None the less, we had a chance to experience each others vehicles and talk about cars a while.

I must admit I've never been in a Bonneville from the 90'* but Matt has done some great things with his '97 SSEi! This car really moves! Our trip out of town was very comfortable with those seats that adjust to just about every possible position and exceptional ride quality . I'm starting to think about a 90'* vintage Bonneville as a project car

Matt'* engine compartment is very well detailed and really caught my eye There is obviously a lot of time and effort spent here. One of these days I'd like to get mine looking as nice. On the other hand, maybe I can just let him loose under my hood for a while The red really adds to the sharp appearance. Very well done, Matt!

Slayer636 had some very entertaining stories to tell. Hearing about some previous meets and the great fun both to and from makes me want to try and get out for one. Unfortunately I don't think work will permit for much this year. I'm hoping we'll meet up again soon and maybe get a few more members closer to this area involved. I can't help but think that a row of Bonneville'* lined up against the mountains in K-Country would look stunning!

Matt got some great shots of the cars together. He'* obviously done much more of this than me. Next time I'll try and remember to show up with a fully charged battery and maybe I'll have a better selection. Regardless, here are the few that I was able to snap.

What a great day trip getaway. Thanks guys

Great pics guys Matt she'* looking as good as ever (did you get our parts) lmao

Darcy you know I was thinking about changing the inside of the Wheel drum to black since you and I both know how much of a PITA they are to keep clean... I did all 4 of mine the other day and you can't tell now. Maybe black ?

This is an interesting idea and has me thinking a little. I pulled my wheels just last night and cleaned both the wheels and calipers. I spent a little over an hour on the highway in rain today and they have definitely picked up some dirt. I've never owned a black car, but have heard this is a really hard colour to keep clean. What about a medium or slightly darker gray?

The picture taking thing starts to get better with a few meets and what not, hopefully next time we can gather a few others from around..maybe get 4-5 cars together, would be really cool to do a cook out/fire or something somewere for a day.
I managed to wash my car tonight as the sun has actually come out, and the roads were pretty dry.
Darcy'* car still looks the way it would of rolling off the assembley line, mint. Very nice, lots of interior detail work, he killed alot of Q-tips

Well I was thinking black just to hide the brake dust and junk that collects in the drum that is a PITA to get at with out removing the wheel every 3 weeks to clean. the rears are not that bad btu even with ceramic pads up front I still notice considerable Brake debris.
