That thing is half the size of the motor. I give the trans 2.5 weeks.
Very nice though...I hate the ugly things but at least is should move for the next 2.5 weeks
Kudos on a job well done

I just sent my M62 out to his friend who is working with him on this and talked to him a little about it. They are serious in doing this and are still fabbing up how it should go on there.
Can't wait to see it complete.

Maybe I should have explained a bit further that it is still being built. No, there are no bolts on it, and YES, it is just set on there for now. Custom fabrication like this out of my garage is taking a while
These are shots I took last night of just making sure everything is lining up as it should. It'* maybe 30-35% done right now. I got the hard parts out of the way, now it'* measure, mark , measure, mark, drill, measure, mark, measure, final cut. I'm taking my time.. it'* $48 worth of aluminum plate, don't wana mess it up.
For right now there will not be any tuning on it. The 3.8 should push ~4-6psi on this motor to start, well within the limits of the stock PCM. After that, I'll suppliment fuel with a 5th injector and controler.
Yeah, intake will be easy, going to use the M62'* throttlebody, remove the plate, gut the maf assembly and run a pipe to a filter.
Gotta run, more to come!
(haro, doing the work in my garage in my house, we moved a few months after you bought the car to Indana where she was transfered for Toyota. It'* nice to have a garage!!)
SO again, it'* NOT done yet guys! But it will be, and it will work.. how well is yet to be seen!
