what im saying is im not letting it go for cheap it has too much new stuff in it idc if its on a salvage title and has rust its better off either staying with me or going to someone who will be willing to spend what i want for it.

I hear ya. Living here in salt country as well.
All of my lines are rusted right on the bend after the tank on my 04. The evap line is leaking out, and I get to breathe in fumes for 60 miles of driving to work every day.
Lines at the dealer cost $300, but my local guy says its about an hour labor to do them.
Honestly, I blame the freaking ethanol garbage. I'm sure salt plays a part, but my lines are mostly clean except for the tight bends and connections where they are rusting from the inside out. I've been putting Lucas ethanol treatment in with my fill ups, and I haven't lost the pressure lines yet. But I drive so much now that the gas hardly has any chance to collect moisture. It really stinks there aren't any ethanol free stations around here anymore. My car used to run so much better on pure gas than this blended crap. Once the last station I had around me made the switch, I noticed fuel lines in all my cars, and all my friends, parents cars starting to go bad really quick where there are bends or connections in the lines. Stupid petrol industry and E10. I curse that stuff every day.
Good luck with it. Hope you can get it fixed on the cheap.

oh hell for 2k ill pick it up as long as you leave the audio stuff in. itll be a month or two though. gotta move and get my job at the mill locked in. the gf needs something more road worthy than a freakin civic in indiana winters lol. its hard to find a car where you can see almost all the maintenance history by typing in a search bar on a website lol

the audio stuff and rims are NOT going with it.
The car was appraised at 3500 in 2009 before it was totalled. and considering ive put a **** ton of work into i figure around 2k is a good price. if it doesnt sell then its no big deal.

I had a lot of rust on my fuel lines and tank and filler neck. I ended up replacing everything in the fuel system. That'* the joys of owning a 15+ year old MI car.
I even had to replace the injectors because they were clogged with rust.
